Today's coin unboxing #4, featuring the 1/5oz Gold 2015 Kangaroo at Sunset Proof Coin struck by the Royal Australian Mint. The coin captures a typical Australian outback scene of a lone kangaroo under the twilight sky in front of the vibrant setting sun. The coin is issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Australia with a denomination of twenty five dollars. This coin has an extremely limited mintage of just 1,000 coin sets.
Wojciech Pietranik's award winning design has resulted in this coin being one of the most widely regarded and sort after coins struck by the Royal Australian Mint. The Kangaroo at Sunset series was first released in 2007, each year this coin design is issued via ballot only.
On eBay there is only one of listings for the 2015 release of this coin, the list price on eBay is AUD$785.00. There are no 'sold listings' for this coin.

The outer box is black with imagery of a kangaroo leaping over the words 'Kangaroo at Sunset'. In smaller text near the bottom of the box it reads '2015 $25 Gold Proof Coin'.

This numbered certificate authenticates this most sought-after of the Royal Australian Mint's coins as legal tender. Mintage is strictly limited to 1000.

Display Case
The gold proof coin is housed and beautifully presented in a jarrah wooden box. On the lid of the box in gold imagery is the Australian Coat of Arms with the words 'Australian Government' and 'Royal Australian Mint'.

The reverse of the coin depicts a typical Australian outback scene of a lone kangaroo under the twilight sky in front of the vibrant setting sun. The design includes the inscription '1/5oz 9999 Au' and the initials 'WP' of the designer Wojciech Pietranik.
Obverse of Coin
The obverse of the coin portrays the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the denomination of Australia 25 Dollars and the year 2015.
