The Continuing Adventures of Bikini Coin Girl Showing us her 3 Cent Silver......Trime

As we can see Bikini Coin Girl is very excited about this latest acquisition of a Three Cent Silver Piece, also known as a TRIME . Bikini Coin Girl incorrectly titled her video Three Cent Nickel, I did mention that to here in a comment and hopefully she will correct the title.

Bikini Coin Girl mentioned the reason that these coins were minted by the U. S. Mint was specifically for the purchase of postage stamps which were 3 Cents a piece at the time.

The 3 Cent Silver Piece was Minted between the years of 1851-1873.....................

Bikini Coin Girl does mention also that the 1854 Three Cent Piece in Proof has a Red Book Value in the range of $12,000. By the way a Proof Three Cent Piece was not minted for general circulation. The minting of Proofs were for the Collector market.
