Leases Filled and a Few Stragglers Added

Its a few days into April and we seem to be in a pretty good place. Our SP is now up over 76K which is higher than many imagined we’d get in the first month. All of the Members Contributions have now been spent on SP Delegation Leases for April so we should be stable at this level for a while now. We still do have some extra liquid STEEM funds from Donations and some of that we will need to spend in 2 weeks to maintain one of our off-market leases which was only part paid. We also hope to pick up another small lease in coming days if we can secure a good rate, but for the most part we have reached our destination. Congratulations to everyone on board!

We’ve had a few late-comers to the party who have sent in Delegations after April 2. That’s OK because with Delegations they add value straight away, but we aren’t accepting new liquid STEEM contributions until we start raising funds for May and that’s weeks away. There are now a total of 65 #SteemSilverGold members contributing to the bot out of 182 and that’s a pretty good level of engagement from the community. Hopefully as more members see the value this initiative is bringing to the community that number will grow even further.

We were planning to tweak the Vote Weights once our leases filled so that we can head toward our Target Voting Power of 80%. We have had a small bump in the road where the Bot stopped voting for 13 hours due to a problem with the Blockchain feed which affected a number of other services too. All missed votes have now been caught up, but our Voting Power has fluctuated a bit and the late votes have thrown out the 23 hour timer as a result. Without getting too technical we’ve adjusted the timer for this to try and keep everything running smoothly without disrupting members posting schedules. It’s a contingency measure and once things settle down we will see where the Voting Power stabilises at and probably wind those Vote Weights up a bit in a day or so.
