There are so many types of beetles, but yes, I think that my Silver Bug is a Scarabaeinae- the first photo below, a common Dung Beetle and are called Scarab Beetles.
But I'd rather think that it is a June Bug - the second photo below, common here in California that is pinging incessantly off my front courtyard light!
