My Silver Stacking Strategy: Silver Bars
There are lots of perspective in silver. Everybody’s got their angle for silver.
Silver Stacking is the long game!
Personally, gold and silver helps me to save. AND I can get it in small quantities each time.
My silver stacking strategy includes purchasing silver and gold every month without regard to spot prices.
For the foundation of my stack, I purchase a minimum of- one fractional gold,
- five ASEs,
- $5.00 face value of US Constitutional coins, and
- one 100 gram silver bar.
- hand poured silver from silver pourers of this community and/or
- special coins/rounds/bars.
The silver collection portion of the strategy is to ensure that my interest in buying precious metals is kept high and my motivation to continue stacking is sustained month after month. It keeps stacking boredom at bay and minimize the attraction of useless stuff & trinkets to spend my fiat currency on.
Needless to say, a prudent stacking strategy must always be within a person's means.
SILVER BARS
For sure, a silver stacker will recognize all four of the100 gram bars in the photo below.
Six months into my stacking, I started purchasing one each of the 100 gram silver bars, for the simple reason that it was what was affordable within my budget.
Shortly after acquiring two of each type, I decided to stack only the second silver bar from the left.
If you were in my shoes, and... if you can choose only one, which of the four 100 gram silver bar will you stack, and why? If you feel like it, please let me know in your comments.
That's good encouragement. For someone like yourself who has a substantial collection at this point, it's nice to remember that it was built over time by making choices that helped you reach the goal. I don't have 10,000 oz, but I can make decisions that help me reach a goal of getting some silver every month. By doing this over and over, I'll reach a point where I have a nice-sized collection.
Exactly, my friend. The opportunity that is in gold and silver is that an ordinary and regular, small-time income earner like myself, can build and store up wealth by stacking. It has not been this way for me. I was a failure in saving all my life. But that all changed since I came across the silver stacking community and started stacking myself. I now have real wealth sitting in storage, and saved fiat as a plus.
That's so cool that you found something that was able to change your thinking about money and saving enough that you changed your actions in order to meet goals that you set for yourself. I'm finding the same thing is happening to me. :)
I enjoy reading other people strategies. Helps keep me motivated and give some great idea. Keep up the good work
Thank you for your comment, my friend! I, too, keep my motivation up by understanding more about other successful stackers' strategy. Having a strategy keeps one away from hyped up silver pieces. I appreciate you stopping my friend.. have a great farming day!
I love all four of those bars. But won’t pay the premium on the two to the right. I do stack both Scottsdale & Geiger, they are two of my personal favorites....👍
Yes, indeed. Paying high premiums for anything is a precious metals budget killer! The Geiger bars fit perfectly in plastic cases.

Great stratedgy sweetie! I would choose the beautiful Scotsdales over the other 3. Awesome post my SSFL 👊💗
Yes, and but of course... the Scottsdale is a cast silver bar giving each one a nice character. I chose the Geiger for the security lines and the fact that they are easier to store. Thank for taking the time to comment, my SSFL 👊💗. I appreciate you and our special friendship!
A great display of Silver and a fantastic message behind it! Just starting the stack is the main thing after that the stackitis will take over. Great post my congita
Hahahaha, how candid you are, cugino! Yep, one will most likely be taken over by stackitis if a strategy is not in place. It is a mental exercise more than anything! Have a great day!
I like the PAMP bar mainly because of the more intricate design of the lady, and PAMP bars are also widely recognized more in Asia.
I like them a lot, also, and the fact that they are in an assay card. Easy to store to with the Pamp storage box. Thanks for looking, and for your comment, @khamen.
I'm giggity for Geiger's. But have honestly been neglecting them for lower premium vintage stuff I found interesteing. But how can you go wrong with any of the 4 with reasonable premiums?
It is so interesting that you say that. I classify the vintage art bars as a purchase towards my collection, because they come with very high premiums.... it is the exact opposite of your observation, LOL! But I know of several stackers who have LCS's that sell vintage stuff below spot prices. It does not happen in my neck of woods! I envy you... I'd love to have nore vintage silver!
Where is this silver below spot you speak of? That is the stuff of legends!!!
Most of my "Vintage" stuff would only carry a $1-2 premium over generics. I like picking them up, and depending on the price sometimes spin them into more ounces. I find nothing like @silveringots.
thats a tough choice but I think I would go for random 5ozt bars myself but I don't think I could pick just one type
I think that 5 oz bars are as ideal as 10 oz bars. My spending habit is that I just have to have everything every month... so I settle for the 100 gram weight to fit my budget. And they fit perfectly in my storgage boxes.
Way to break it down saver
It is always best to keep it simple! Keeps stackitis at bay!
