Round #3 - "Find the Ingot" - TIE BREAKER - Upcomming live event!!!
I am excited to announce that we have two participants dead locked at 14 points. Those two participants are @senstless and @teutonium!! Congrats!!
Since the game rules are first person to 15 points. I have decided to implement a tie breaker that will decide the WINNER of Round #3. The tie breaker will be held on an agreed upon time. Everyone here on STEEMIT can watch live!!
Tie breaker information
@Teutonium and @senstless will have to 'Find The Ingot' in THREE SEPERATE PHOTOS!! A total of 3 ingots will need to be found. There will be one ingot in each of the three total photos.
The tie breaker game time will be announced publically. Both participants will confirm they are available during that time.
While the tie breaker game is live. I ask that no one leaves a comment that references where the ingots are hidden. No coaching! If someone decides to comment anything about the location of the ingots. That person will no longer be able to participate in ' Find The Ingot.' Only @teutonium and @senstless are allowed to comment locations.
The first person to find the ingot in each of the three photos will be the overall winner of Round #3.
If there are any questions regarding the tie breaker. Please bring it up on this post in the comment section

@silveringots, i'll be honest with you, I'm not that into silver or gold... doing a quick trip to sentless's blog and i know for a fact that @senstless is more into these sort of things than me, if i won i would sell the bar to a random stranger and that was it, i would rather keep the bar in the steemian community instead of selling it to a totally stranger, I'm dropping off the competition, @senstless can keep it! I know that some people love gold and silver, like you do and like other steemians from steemsilvergold do, i don't, sorry, i was more in this for the competition and for the game :)

What if those 2 didn't make the top 5 for the next 3 games, that would change a few things. Maybe a tiebreaker should only be implemented if 2 people reach/pass 15 points, then it's a straight shoot out??
I considered that as well @welshstacker. I figured if there was a tie at 14 then the WINNER would need to win by 2pts. Making a 2 point tie breaker between both participants the only way to get that done. Thanks for your support
Just had a thought.... Don't worry I'm OK, it didn't hurt too much 😂😂
If the game is over "when the first person gets to 15 points" then there is never a need for a tiebreaker.
Example 1
Person A has 13pts, person B has 14 pts.
Person A wins the last round, person B comes second.
Since person A gets his points awarded first (2pts), they are the first person to reach 15 points. Winner
Person B gets his 1 point for coming 2nd, reaches 15 points, by isn't the first person to reach 15points.
Example 2.
P1 & P2 both have 14 pts. P3 wins the rounds and gets 2pts (11 total) P4 comes 2nd, P1 comes 3rd and P2 comes 4th.... (still with me?? 😉). P1 gets the 1 point to reach 15pts and wins as they are first. P2 also has 15 pts but didn't get there first.
Never a need for a tiebreaker.
Plus I still stand by "what if @teutonium and @senstless don't score any points in the next 3 rounds??"

Yes, I get your perspective here and am I not disregarding it at all. I didn't look at the top 5 point awarding as to who go points first by placing. I looked at it as both participants could score 1pt each in the same round. When saying first to 15. The way your looking at it there would be no need for a tie breaker, I agree.
I figured the tie breaker would be a fun event for the game. I mentioned in all the current standings articles. That in the event of a tie I would introduce some sort of tie breaker. Still shooting at the hip here as the game grows and different situations are presented. Appreciate your input and support @welshstacker. 👍

Boy am I late to this party. After reading all the comments, i have some thoughts.
@senstless . This community is great as we just experienced an amazing gesture. I have some new ideas to bring to life for the next round. Looking forward to continuing this ! I have edited this reply and since we do not have a finish at 15pts we will move forward with the game until we have a WINNER totaling 15pts.
