We will proceed with once daily voting and discussion regarding other changes.

So there was overwhelming support for once daily voting, so that change will go forward in the morning when I get home from work and have access the bot.

Voting Changes

The once daily vote will be the same as qurator in that once daily will mean every 22hrs, this will give people a chance to post around the same time everyday and get the vote, if for some reason you are early for you window, usually an edit will re trigger a vote, so please give that a try before reaching out to me for missed votes.

The reason for the change is that it was felt that content quality was slipping and people were feeling forced to post twice a day a get there votes and often lead to poor quality.

For the first 24-48 hrs the weights will remain unchanged and this will give Stax and chance to recover her power finally. Then they will be increased, but likely at an amount around 1.5x the current amounts. Therefore the gold tier which is currently 36% will become something like 50% and so forth down the line.

I also think there is benefit in the future to do a bit more manual voting to help support contests and good content here on the tag, this will also support some of the smaller and non-tiered members. I've been unable to do this much with the voting power being so low and still sitting around 85% despite the recent changes.

Minnow Support

I know there has been discussion and comments about Stax's no longer supporting minnows and new members but in fact she is and any member on the current community list which is now hosted by @silverstackerUK has the chance to get a vote currently at 1% or $0.28. All they need to do it a commit 1 daily 100% upvote to Stax's Post just like everyone else. Anyone with less than 100SP is only casting a $0.03, 100% upvote so this is a great way to support the minnows.

I also think with the new build we have the option to add some more minnow tiers as well, please see below.

For people on the tag like @silverfortune or @ajain (sorry to single you guys out, but I'm following a train of though from the comments yesteday) that are making consistent content on the tag, the exact same things applies, just start casting daily 100% vote for Stax.

I've been looking at new tools and I'm pretty sure if I use steemreports I can quickly check if someone is voting for Stax and likely add new members on a weekly basis if they have been voting for the last 7 days.

Tiers

Now that I'm getting the hang of the new build it is quite easy to add more tiers so I think there's the opportunity to add some more "minnow" tiers and maybe accept some very small donations or delegations for them and also allow bigger members to sponsor them for the month. Maybe a 1SBD/Steem donation could get a 2%vote and 5SBD/STEEM donation could get someone a 5% vote.

We should also be able to add a tier between the current nickel and silver tier since the difference between a 250SP and 1000SP delegation is massive and I know some members were asking about 500SP Delegations.

I also hope to move towards promoting more delegations from within the community. Stax continues to also be able to almost fund the total ongoing lease from @mattclarke. Otherwise the delegation market has become very problematic and we paid much higher rates for our current 20 000SP additional amount so I don't think we are making very good use of the additional donations.

I would like to only use donations for a few gold members if needed at the end of the month and perhaps for the minnow tiers, but hope to move fully towards delegations in the future.

We do currently have just over 12 000SP delegated from within the community and that's only from 30 members. Just think if the other 50 members were also able to try to delegate at least 100SP, that's an additional 5000 SP. I think delegating of SP also shows a long term commitment to platform from members who are vesting their steem.

I need to sit down and re crunch all these numbers before I have anything more concrete, but I think it will help everyone and make Stax's voting more inclusive.

Anyways I hope everyone is satisfied with the discussion today and please as always leave any further feedback

Okay Sweety-Parts! Here’s some fiduciary admiration for your fancy moves!

I finally got my slider!! So as soon as i get to my next hundred steem they are being delegated to stax. And that will be just the beginning! :)

Rock n Roll man!

You bring it and Stax slings it!!!

I'm tired of this stupid feed we have here @steemit not allowing me to prioritize by hashtags. Missed these important updates!

22 hours decay? It should have voted up my latest post if all timers start over when the coding changes. My 10 hr delay was up and I posted around 12 but better than all that mental gymnastics would be to just make it a one post limit, 00:00:00 UTC to 23:59:59 UTC every day.
There is no perfect solution, however. Phil is doing pretty good IMO.
Just my 2¢ and I'd love to see that feed get tweaked I'm sure my idea would have had a tad more impact BEFORE the vote! I am on board with the "one a day" but a timer on it is not as good as a true "one a day". I'm sure I will be OK with it, but I think it would be

WAY COOL

to make a post @ 23:55 and another at 00:10 and get double upvotes on both :D then lay out 24 to 36 hours but that's just me hehee

On second thought, a 22 hr decay can make the posts come earlier, but only by 2 hrs. I can deal with that once I get "set" but I was posting around midnite or later on the old setup.

PS: On Another note, (close your eyes Phil, this is for the peanut gallery and not you!)

I started putting my post time on the bottom, down by the image credits...

that is so I will know where I am at with Stax's Timers. Hope this helps you guys :D

PPS: is this a 22 hr timer from POST TIME or from Stax's Vote Time?

It should be on a 1320 minute timer from post time, or a 1290 minute timer from Stax's vote, I am pretty sure I missed a vote once because of it being based on Stax Vote cast timer. I need this to be clarified please Bro Phil! tia

Hey man, I hope the post from yesterday clarified this questions, it does seam to be vote to post time, so 22hrs and 30 mins, although i'll likely just drop to 21hrs and 30 mins, next time I'm reprogramming her.

I actually did read everything pertaining to the changes after I wrote this, I did an edit and got a vote on my mid-day post when I edited around 11:30 so that was cool! 22:30, 22:00 or 21:30 does not really matter with the edit trick, but it is nice to know it is VOTE time to Post Time, so post to post will be 22:30 which allows us to gain an hour and a half every day, if needed! Thanks for the info Phil, I can work with anything if I have the specifics.

one more thing:

Once we get a stable voting power, maybe suppose it is too high... Here's a thought, Do not reduce the decay, that just allows more times the shit-posters can do their thing in a week. I suggest raising the vote values, rather than reducing the decay. That will be much easier to calculate the VP drop-off, and keeps the playing field level for those that have to work outside of Steemit as well. But it should be voted on prolly.
I really think that would work, and most likely make it easier on you. Only you will know for sure LOL!

Thanks for the update. I'll be delegating as soon as I'm done with this move. Sorry it's taken me so long 😱 I've been meaning to delegate for ages.

Nice work sweety-parts!

viva ssg!

Sugar-Britches ;) :D

Thanks for the update,

I do like what you mentioned about the option of supporting contests also.

I would love everyone to put in a entry each week for the 1 oz silver coin GIF contest and in turn bring in new stackers from around the globe.

They will have additional SP to contribute to Stax and help build the #steemsilvergold community bigger :)

I appreciate the hard work you put in on the bot and this team.

The buying and selling of votes, still makes me sick...
I've been coming to #steemsilvergold for 7 months...

COIN MAN by @pocketechange

I think those that put in more should get more. That's just basic economics

You're right... I do deserve more... Thanks...

COIN MAN by @pocketechange A Penny may cost a Dollar...

I think people who post the same shit day after day and expect miracles should reconsider what they’re doing here.

Now I know what was meant by casting pearls before swine...
Sh.t to one might be Silver or Gold to others... Think about it...
@pocketechange A Penny might just cost you a Dollar...

Won’t ever happen...

From the comment @sirstacksalot left me, you better re-think what you just said... I know it sounds nutty, so I won't hold it against you...
@pocketechange

I think @sirstacksalot is probably high...

I hope it pays out for you man

I'm already well set... I'm doing this to give others an opportunity to get their hands on a piece of what's to go down in history as a major transfer of wealth...
@pocketechange

On board with the move 👍

Fantastic Stax, Thanks for the Update and the Great Work!!!

Sneaky Ninja Attack! You have been defended with a 56.82% vote... I was summoned by @thedamus! I have done their bidding and now I will vanish...Whoosh
