Sweet.......

Ok, I’ve been working on a trade for quite a while now with a friend for a Barber half dollar. Well today I got the call and the Barber is now mine.
Since I haven’t been able to work the last few days because we haven’t had power for going on 3 days now because of the major Nor’easter we just had. Which dropped 24” of wet heavy snow on us taking down many trees and power lines. Atleast I have something to brighten my day.

Well here it is folks. My 1904 Barber Half Dollar and it’s a beauty. What do you think of this bad boy?

A little background on the Barber series. It was produced from 1882-1915. It was produced at four different locations. Philadelphia, San Fransisco, New Orleans, and then Denver replaced New Orleans in the later years. The coin is 30.6mm in diameter and weighs 12.5 grams 90% of that is silver, the other 10% is copper. The name of the coin cane from the engraver who designed it Charles E. Barber. The half dollar is the only denomination of the Barber that was not produced in 1916.

For some reason, I love holding and acquiring 100year old gold and silver, including gold from the 1860's, knowing that gold was found during the days of the California Gold Rush.......Awesome stuff

Any chance i get, i pick them up. I’ve been working on this deal for months. Thanks for the view🍺

Nice trade, it's in good condition. Thanks for sharing.

I’ve been trying for months. Think I’m gonna get it graded. Thanks for the view brother🍺

Very nice coin. It's in great condition.

Nice coin and post man,

Keep em coming :D

Excellent little coin, I love that. Keep them coming

Thanks brother. Me to. I sure will....🍺

Absolutely beautiful Barber! 💗

Thanks brother. Been drooling over it for about 6 months now.🍺

I still perfer the walking liberty design, but this little shiny is looking great. Not a bad condition for something as old as my greatgrandmother 😂

I do also, but it is very difficult to find raw barbers in this condition. I think I’m going to send it out to be graded. Thanks for the view🍺

This Barber looks like it is in great shape! Sorry to hear about the 2 ft. of snow. I'm glad snow looks like it may be done for the season in Chi-town, where I am based.

Thanks. Suppose to have another storm tonight, I’m done with this shit.....thanks for the view🍺

Wow that is in really amazing condition👀
What did you trade for it?

We both collect walking liberty half dollars. I had a double of a graded MS64 that he wanted.
