Rwanda Santa Maria + A Pocket Silver Challenge
Very excited to show off my new Rwanda Santa Maria, the first coin in a new nautical ounce series. 1oz of .999 fine silver this series is going to be hot and im hoping i will be able to get one of the proof versions for my collection. This is what i like the best about steemit, being able to photograph my coin and show off what ive been buying and stacking and share my hobby with anyone that is interested.
POCKET PIECE CHALLENGE
Just for fun i thought i would throw out there an interactive type of competition for the steemsilvergold community, only for fun or bragging rights but this is my idea:
Pick a piece of silver/coin . Preferably something new and semi numismatic.
Make the coin your pocket piece to be fondled, stroked, abused and carried arround.
Make regular posts to show how its toning and wearing, try and get it looking as cool as possible.
Keep a record of the post pay outs from the coin updates you do here on steemit and try and make back the value of the coin from the posts, using Randowhale and vote bots (exept our own loveable bot @silvergoldbotty of course) is not allowed and dont just attempt to make the value of the coin but make any premuim the coin would have brought had you kept it all snug in a protective capsule.
Post a regular "pocket piece on location" where the coin could be anywhere, the Eiffel Tower, Blackpool Tower, scuba diving in Guam, the local pub, lucky poker chip in Las Vegas or even having a tumble in the washing machine, anywhere be creative like a wheres the silver in the picture photo maybe.
It can be difficult to constantly come up with post ideas and keep things fresh, this is just a bit of fun that is ongoing and gives us all something extra to regularly post about and anyone can join in at any time and change your piece as many times as you wish, we will all get to enjoy each others choices get battered about and gain cool tonings and an excuse to photo random locations with the pocket star the focus.
If anyones interested then get a coin, post a before picture as i have done above with my choice; the Rwanda Santa Maria and let the journey begin, i will prob label my posts as "pocket piece on location" "pocket piece toning" and "pocket piece damage" for the possible outcomes of its travels. Its just an excuse to interact and make regular posts with an experiment in how different the coin will look over time and could i make more from the coin than if i had kept it pristine. So whos in?

Just seen your pirate booty, thats what i was thinking about, getting some good pics of it outside and seeing how it wears over time
That is a nice design and i think it will tone up well too! Great idea about the fun contest im IN, just need to have a think and choose a piece, my first thought is the whale privateer ive wanted one for a while i will keep my eyes peeled :)
I wanted to do one ever since seeing everyones first privateer but i just couldnt do it to mine lol, the whale would be cool. Ive always been obsessed with keeping my coins untouched and safe that im enjoying playing with this one and im going to enjoy watching it transform, hope a few people take part, its a good excuse to post with a real attempt to make the coin bring more value than just hidden away in a box and would be cool to see everyones coin getting worn like it would if it was a circulating coin.

STOPI kinda dig this idea of a pocket coin. I'll see what I got.
The whole idea of this is making me terribly nervous, but I think I'm going to have to do it and play along.
