Take Your Coin To Work Day

So yesterday i released my new shiny 1oz silver Santa Maria coin from its confinement inside a protective sleeve to let it roam free and explore this planet with me and be open to the elements and dangers a numismatic masterpiece would normally never have to be concerned about, this very brave little coin will risk life and limb to explore and enjoy the excitement of life. I do have to be honest and say i have found it difficult, its my shiny new coin and my instinct is to care for it like i do all my others, and i do care for it but its on a different path into the unknown.....

WARNING:

No white gloves to be worn beyond this point, if you are of a numismatic disposition viewer discretion is advised. What you are about to witness has been carried out by a specially trained silver coin and no coins were hurt in the making of this post.....ish :)

Hercules, the daft Greek son of a god had 12 labours that he had to endure, well our intrepid young silver ounce was given just 5 for his initiation into the world as a free coin.

1.The stand drill of despair

Our silver hero is after starting with a hole in one...in oneself that is, the drill is slowly lowered in a James Bond style exection by a crazy baddie, surely he cant fail on his first labour?

2. The grinder of destruction

Well the brave coin is just taking the piss with this daring stunt, the grinder would make silver shavings of mince meat however hard the silver thinks it is.

3. The Anville of bashing terror

Dont hang arround on the anville of bashing terror too long, there is always a hammer never too far away. But this romantic picture shows my most recent piece of metal in perfect harmony with my heaviest piece of metal, ahhh aint that nice?

4. The sink of doom

I wouldnt advise taking a dip in the sink of doom, nothing comes clean in the sink of doom, the sink of doom is where water goes when it wants to die!

The scrap pile of death

Is the little fella for the scrap pile? or can he escape the clutches of evil Mr Crusher the scrap collector? Will this semi numismatic joy end up worth merely his weight in scrap?

@russellbury I've recognized that when it appears to be like terrible, just stepping absent for your moment would make all the primary difference on the earth.

i think your coins gona get some crazy toning in the workshop!

Yea i hope so i dont want to get it bashed up just for the sake of it but some cool toning is what im after and to have fun with the little fella, ive too many coins locked away out of sight, scared to touch, its actually liberating

Sweet. That coin will never be the same. It will be better, cause you'll have a story behind it!

Yea its the story and the journey thats important, ive ordered another one to put away but this one will go everywhere with me and its going to look bad ass as it evolves lol. Altho my plan to make the value of the coin back on steemit is underway i do think at $0.06 cents per post there would have to be one every day for the next 500+ days............ Day 574 pocket silver in shrubbery number 36 colourchange blue :(

Fun, fun, fun!!!

I'm taking out something for a wee ride tomorrow :)

Cool, i will check out your adventure :)

I spy some snap-on! lol Looking good for the little guys first day!

Yea the little guy worked hard on his first day which is more than i can say for myself, the things you get up to on a quiet day lol, yea got quite a bit of snap-on but im not one for the posh shiny tools, they are just there to do a job i like the round shiny metal ;)

Yeah, that made me pretty damn nervous man, That poor coin, and then you just tossed it in with that scarp and those wrenches. I'm not sure i'll have the constitution for this.

It wasn't tossed into the scrap....it was very gently placed, im not a savage lmao. Its an experiment so supposed to make you nervous, i want to get some cool toning on it, i want to see how it would wear if it was a circulaing coin, i want to see if posting its journey on here would make its value back in steem, it will always be worth its weight in silver but could it make more out in the world than it could sat in a box? But even more important than that, for the sake of 1 coin it unites the community and anyone can join in at any time, just hope people pick a semi numismatic coin with very high mintages, dont think my stomach could stand a high valued piece in the mix, i was sweating seeing grizzman open the rooster, what have i done??? lol, but it can only be good for building a community here on steemit and gives everyone an excuse to post regularly on how their coin is gettting on.
