# 83 - My favorite coin
A few days ago @generation.easy asked the members of steemsilvergold community to post articles showing their favorite coins.
Here is my article and it is centered in my favorite coin, which I won in a giveaway here at steemit.
Our friend @britcoin, in a bout of generosity, decided to give it to a member that, after fulfilling some conditions, were the winner of a prize draw. I was the Lucky One.
That was the most amazing giveaway that I ever saw! That is a PF70 2017 Pistrucci Sovereign.
Benedetto Pistrucci came from Italy to London in 1815. He received the task to design the new gold and silver coinage of George III. This was his masterpiece, the 1817 One Sovereign.
To commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Pistrucci Sovereign, the Royal Mint issued this marvelous coin, using Pistrucci’s design.
The mintage was 13,500 units. Until now, only 45 were deemed to be graded PF70 by NGC and I have one of them!
It has 91.6% gold purity and it weighs 7.98g.
I want to thank @britcoin again for this wonderful coin.
