# 54 - O Canada in Gold
In 2013-2014 the Royal Canadian Mint issued the "O Canada Series" in gold, focused in iconic Canadian animals to celebrate Canadian pride.
This series was issued in silver too, but it will be the subject of another articles in the future.
The gold series has nine different coins. The quantity sold of each coin was on average around 2,500. Each weights 1/10oz (3,13g) with 99.99% purity in Proof finish. The issue price was CAD$279.95 for each one.
I have only three of them. Let's see these beauties.

The coins are pristine. All the scratches that you see in the photos are on the capsule.

These are great. I am a fan of that beaver too. It’s adorable.
Very nice, perth mint and rcm both feature the animals native to there country on alot of there coins, and i do feel sometimes the gold designs are great. maybe not as big as asilver design but, alot of the time pictures don't do the coins justice especally when in capsules. Be a cool set when it completed thats for sure.
To complete the sets two problems must be solved: to find the coins with reasonable prices and the money to buy them. Sure it will be a cool set.
