# 510 - Canadian Commemoratives - Part 16
Since its television debut on September 8, 1966, Star Trek’s imaginative storylines have brought its fans on an incredible journey through time and space. As the science-fiction phenomenon celebrates its 50th anniversary, the Royal Canadian Mint pays tribute to one of the most iconic spaceships of our time with this beautifully coloured fine silver coin.
It is a 2016 $20 CAD called "Star Trek™ - Enterprise".
Its weight is 31.39g (1.01oz) with 99.99% silver purity and Colored Proof finish.
11,500 units were minted.
The reverse design is an eye-catching tribute to the U.S.S. Enterprise (NCC-1701). Recreating a scene from the 1968 episode "I, Mudd", the application of rich colour over the engraved rendering gives the Enterprise a remarkable life-like quality. This three-quarter view allows for a full glimpse of the orbiting vessel’s saucer section and engineering hull, while the ship’s twin warp nacelles are visible at the rear. Against a dark expanse of space in the background, the yellow, gold and red-brown colours of the Class K planet below seem all the more vibrant.

I am a great fan of the Original Series but the Next Generation was a good one too. Have you watched Star Trek:Discovery? It is a good series!
