Precious Metals Collected and Sold to the Government from Cremated Bodies in Switzerland

Crematorium in Switzerland is filtering people's ashes to recycle precious metals to include gold, silver and platinum among others to the City of Zurich.

The largest crematorium in Switzerland has been extracting precious metals from the ashes of their customers in the form of cremated bodies.

If you are a bit queasy, skip this section:

Bodies are cremated at about 700°C (1,292°F) and the precious metals survive the process due to its higher melting point. The precious metals are then filtered out of the ashes contents and sold to recycling firms that complete the extraction process. Any money from recycled gold, silver and platinum is sent to the government and not to the families members of the deceased.

The Nordheim crematorium has installed simple technology that filters the gold, silver and platinum from the ashes of human bodies. Around six thousand people are cremated at this facility every year. The families have the option to opt out of this innovative use of their loved ones ashes. Heavy metals are the only materials in this process that survive the immense heat.

Profits of this project are currently being sent directly to government treasuries and the City of Zurich has earned 100,000 Swiss francs (£78,000) each and every year. Just another way the governments rob and extract the last bit of money from you to the very end of your life.

Some people claim that the families of the deceased deserve to receive the proceeds of the recycled precious metals sold, but at this moment, all the proceeds are transferred to the government.

The program is not mandatory and families can opt out at any time. About one third of the people cremated decided to go ahead with the program as it is now. The only other crematorium in Switzerland to use the same process is in a town called Solothurn. It has made about 40,000 Swiss francs (£31,000) each year by recycling the precious metals, according to a news report. Not all crematoriums in the region will follow suit, but many, such as in St Gallen, Aarau and Basel stated on record that they will not adopt the filtration technique. Quote, 'The ashes belong entirely to the relatives, not the crematoria or the state,' Ursula Lauper, a spokeswoman for St Gallen's crematorium stated.

HOW ARE PRECIOUS METALS EXTRACTED FROM HUMAN BODIES YOU MAY ASK?

The human body is made up of many complex elements, including trace amounts of precious metals, such as gold, silver and platinum. When a human body is cremated, almost all forms of carbon matter is reduced to ash. The specialized filtration system can extract the precious elements from the remains of the ash.

Keep stacking. Go get you some.

So Gold and Silver from dental crowns and fillings are a boon to the thieving govts. No surprise. I'll make sure my dental gold crowns be mentioned in my will as I have fortune in my mouth.

Well my gold crown was only about 4 grams of 16k, just have to be a little careful when I go to third world countries and pliers.........

I'm always debating whether my weakness for chocolate throughout my life have been a blessing or a curse, maybe curse just look at my dental records.
