It's not easy for me to slow down in my postings, but I was going over the Numbers...
Let's say a person wanted to use the "Liquid Steem Option" to become a Gold Tier Member...
It would cost 100 Liquid Steem per Month...
I see that the Gold Tier Members are awarded a 55% Up-Vote...
Based upon the $6.00 Value of a 100% Up-Vote, a 55% Up-Vote for the Gold Member would be $3.30...
Multiply $3.30 by 31 days and the Gold Tier Member using the Liquid Steem Option would get back 102.30 in Steem and/or Steem Power...
I feel that Option is in need of an adjustment or some re-thinking...
Anyway, Precious would Receive 100 Steem and the Gold Member would get back his 100 Steem plus an additional $2.30...
Delegations are a one time "Option" that continues from Month to Month...
I'm starting to think a person using the Liquid Steem Option should also continues from Month to Month...
I feel the Liquid Steem Option should somehow be adjusted or given more thought...
It crossed my mind, so I thought I'd pass it on...
I realize that we use Steem to Lease Monthly Delegations from Others...
Perhaps someone knows why Delegations continues from month to month but the Liquid Steem ends and needs to be replaced each month...???

Using services like this doesn’t make sense to me. I feel it defeats whole purpose of thIs platform. But I’m not sure exactly what this program is so feel free to correct me if I’m wrong

But it defeats the whole purpose of the platform.steemit won’t last if almost everyone is doing this which at this point it appears they are. Well the ones holding large steem power will get washed out as steem value goes down and we will see what happens then. Maybe it’s for the best and it will wash out this practice

It is just because the price of steem is low right now, The folks paying with steem are keeping us afloat. I prefer to keep most of my sp so I have a better upvote for curation.
I reduced myself to the lowest tier level... I'm not worried about me, but I feel the people using Liquid Steem should perhaps get a few more percentage points so they can make a little bit more than those who Delegate... I realize the Liquid Steem is used to buy more temporary Steem Power, that ends up vanishing... I just think a little fine tuning may be in order...
I too share some of this frustration. I do not receive all that much steem per month, let alone have that much steem to transfer to receive a tier upvoting membership. Maybe I should research these options as it's difficult to understand.
Many of our Members buy Up-Votes... It seems to be working for them... But they're mostly for Each Post they make... I have no idea what the return is, but I'm sure they wouldn't be doing it for nothing...
1 I have been a gold tier member since the very beginning. I have always paid with liquid Steem.
2 My primary concern for being a gold tier member is to help the community overall.
3 I believe the liquid steem option gives our community more delegated steem power overall.
4 Your analysis is very good.
5 The current payouts are lower due to the overall price of steem and steem dollars.
6 Your analysis does not include the curation rewards that go to curators. So actually we get 20% less than you have in your analysis
I was sure there was something I was missing, but I had no idea what... I did notice that my Status move us faster than before, and it's still a struggle for me to watch the Status of others moving past me, like I was standing still... I was here before the "Slider"... And now, everyone seems to be Buying Up-Votes, using Steem and Delegations... Leaves Little to Toss about, to Minnows like me... It takes me 14 Votes to make it to 10 Cents... lol...

Yeah, hmmm...well I noticed since I finally "powered Up" / passed the minnow-milestone of critical-mass ($250.00 STEEM) the fiat dollar 'value' is effectively 1 for 1. Thus 'n so, acct "value" will remain equivalent to STEEM. It seems...hahaa
I'm glad I'm not doing this for Steem... I've been Averaging almost 38 Cents per post... That sure puts me in my Place... lol...
