If you delegated some of your vast wealth, instead of paying for the upvotes every month, it would be free.
The 49 steem is just the cost to the ssg-community account to offset you not delegating. That how much i have to pay to the open market for the 2500SP you dont delegate. If members got a discount on monthly paynents, then i would no longer be able to afford to lease the 2500 sp from other sources and the over all voting power of the account would decrease eventually to only rhe steempower we currently own(23000 ish). Does that make sense??
I would always recommend using SP to delegate and pocketing the 49 steem monthyl to increase your own steempower.
Everything you write makes sense, but it seems like the Curation Rewards should count for something... At least a little, to bring down the cost and increase profits for the Members... It's just a thought...
Put it to a vote. Or make an "official" suggestion and ill write a post about it.
The long term plan is to make monthly payments FREE. Once weve built up our own SP to current levels(65/75k), there will be no point buying more Steempower.
Free sounds good, but I was only thinking of a small discount... One Steem per day was just an easier number for me to figure... That comes to 365 Steem per year, plus any Curation Rewards derived from the Up-Votes...
