Copper Rounds - Does Anyone Buy These?

I don't buy or collect copper rounds. I've never had a desire to do so. If you do, please let me know in the comments, I'm curious if other people buy these things and or collect them.

No, my reason for now owning these two copper rounds came about because I was placing an order for some silver and needed to hit that $100 dollar mark to get free shipping. As my order stood without the rounds I would have had to pay $9.95 for shipping when I was only $3 dollars short. Adding these 1 oz copper rounds bumped me just over the threshold and I figured I could always give them away.

They are cool designs and I would probably buy these in silver, but I don't plan to buy any more copper rounds. This was a one time deal just to save money on shipping. I think next time around I'll just bite the bullet and buy a silver round. Hey that rhymed! Anyway, have a look at them...

Scale

Here they are next to some pocket change for scale that I'm sure @pocketechange will enjoy more than the copper rounds themselves!

Cool rounds. I'd buy them but the shipping to Australia is probably 4 times the value of the metal :)

A while back I wrote about Stacking Copper and I think it's a legit semi-precious metal. If I was poor, living in Venezuela or another 3rd world country it would probably be my metal of choice.

Thanks for the comments @buggedout. I read your post and you make some good points. I can see how copper could be worth it to someone on a limited budget. I checked some historic price charts and it has gone up in value over the years too, not unlike gold and silver! Cheers!

Yes, of course, I buy copper rounds! I buy them for the outstanding design of the rounds, and which I cannot afford in the silver versions.

It's true, it seems like there are some great designs that get made into copper rounds... some that don't even get made into silver which is kind of unfortunate.

I've got a bunch of silver rounds like this. Like the others said, I give them out as presents to nieces/nephews. They seem to really enjoy them. My LCS always has a bunch of different ones sitting out.

Hey @vgholdingsllc - Yeah they do make sense to be given as gifts. I don't think I've seen any at the coin shops I've visited, but maybe it's because I don't look for them. Side note, when I started typing your name I first typed 'vgHODLingsllc' 😆

lol... I actually did buy Hundreds of Copper Rounds... I pass them out as Gifts... I keep the left-overs... If I like the Silver Rounds, I usually buy the Copper to make a Set... Lately, I quit buying Silver Rounds, but I won’t rule out buying something I like...

Whoa! I thought for sure you'd like the pocket change for scale more than the copper rounds! 😆
I can see how they would make good gifts too!

I think you said you paid 3 Dollars for the Two Copper Rounds... That means, after the Reset, you can Sell them for about 3 U.S. Crypto-Cents... The 16 U.S. Cents shown, will buy you 16 U.S. Crypto-Cents, after the Reset... Remember to start thinking Face Value, and not Melt Value...
