Very Unique Water poured Silver Nugget.
So this is my very first piece of poured silver and the one that started the passion. It was my very first day on YouTube when I saw this Video on YouTube by Canadian Silver Saver. Who has since became a real life friend from YouTube. I've even had a chance to spend some time with him down at the last Toronto Coin Expo. He's been a huge supporter of us at Pheli Mint actually, and I may as well throw in a little plug for his channel and a link HERE.
Funny story actually....My wife who thinks I'm crazy for having a YouTube channel (but whatever), was actually a bit awestruck after my first Skype call with John from Canadian Silver Saver. She was all excited like I had just talked to a celebrity, she so funny sometimes.
Anyways back to the main event!
There she is! But what is it. Some of you may know, or maybe you read the title...lol.
This is a water poured nugget. When these silver artist are making silver shot to pour. They pour the molten silver into ice cold water and it bubbles and boils and at the bottom of the bucket you have tiny little pieces or shot that can then be weight out and more manageable to melt for other projects. I'm not expert here, but from my understanding if the water isn't ice cold it will form these unique nuggets. I was amazed that these weren't more popular when I first got this and still wonder that same things. I know it's super delicate and I've chipped a few pieces off along the way unfortunately. (The problem with little kids and having it on a display case beside my bed.)
I'll also link this very old and I think my first every YouTube unboxing video. It's very bush league, long before the one and only @goldenarms called me out and told me to get a proper tripod and turn my camera sideways.
