Arrgghhh A Pirate Chest for me Booty Mateys!! A Crafty Saturday
This is a cute chest given to me as a gift. I have a thing for chests, and cool wooden boxes. Which isn't an ideal thing to collect but I have seem some beautiful pieces of wooden art and wish I had more room. This chest has a sugar skull carved into it and it's a bit top heavy but I love it.
The bottom of the chest isn't deep so I decided to use it to hold the few little silver pieces that I've acquired recently. Liking the things that I like, I had no clue that they made silver just for me!! I wanted to soften the bottom as to not scratch my shiny silver pieces and decided to line it with felt.
I'm using photo safe spray glue because silver will be going in this chest and I want it to oxidize naturally. I think if it's safe for photos, it should be safe for silver as well.

After a few measurements and some cutting...
It's time to glue the pieces in place...
And now this is the perfect vessel to hold all of me shiny creepy pirate booty arrggghhhhh!!!!!
And this piece Steemians is the lovely Lucille hand poured by fellow Steemian @theb3ar out of .999 pure silver. It weighs 1.3oz and is numbered 5. Isn't she beautiful?? For those who don't know Lucille is that bat used by the awesome villain Negan in The Walking Dead Show and Comic Series.

At one of the craft fairs where I sell my images, there's a guy who makes wonderful elaborate wooden puzzle boxes. The kind where, only the correct pressure in the right spot will allow you to make the next move, to apply pressure, to make the next move, that will unlock the treasure.
Really?? @bluefinstudios I haven't seen anything like that around here yet. I may have to commission you to get me one next time the craft fair is around!

Look how nice that came out!!!! and i LOVE that chest too!!!! Unique things like that are so special! Even though it may not be easy to store - hehehehe I bet you display them everywhere! :)
