June 19th 1934 the US Congress passes the Silver Purchase Act , directing the Secretary of the Treasury to purchase silver until market price reaches $1.2929 per ounce , or until value of silver stock reaches one-third of gold stock . This French beauty was made in art-deco style and was minted in Paris France in 1934 with 52,000,415 others just like it . It was struck with .680 % silver , weighs 10 grams , and is 28 mm in diameter .
The obverse of this coin shows us a bust of the French national symbol " Marianne " facing left and wearing a phrygian cap and an olive branch wreath on her head .

The reverse of this coin features an art-deco styled theme of the denomination (10 francs) and the year (1934) which is flanked by a cornucopia at left and wing at right , both above the legend LIBERTE-EGALITE-FRATERNITE and all this is flank by wheat stalks .
