I know there are quite a few Bitcoin ATM locations all over the Greater Vancouver area, the closest one to me is in a Coffee shop in New Westminster. Never tried it yet but getting more curious about just giving it a try, just to say I did it.
Yup, the Waves Coffee shop on Columbia street.... that's the one I use.
Say, do you recall it taking USDs or strictly CAD?
