When you are rich you can do all the things you mention AND buy precious metals. But I agree if you do without some things - like a car - you save a lot of money.
yes I agree if you are rich you can afford all of it but the general population isn't and are going into debt instead of securing their future in this increasingly difficult financial world ruled by corporations.
