Coin Shop Currency - 1929 - NATIONAL CURRENCY - TEN DOLLARS
Here are some photos and a description of Coin Shop Currency - 1929 Ten Dollar Bill - National Currency. I find it unusual that it states at the top: "NATIONAL CURRENCY".
I picked up this 1929 Ten Dollars from a local coin shop. This is in circulated, good condition. This design on the Ten Dollar bill continued from 1929 up to the year 2000. The appearance is the same as bills that are still in circulation from before 2000. The front and back is probably very familiar to many people still today.
This bill has collectible value that doubled its face value. This bill is worth Twenty dollars, which is double its face value because of its rarity. There are others from the same time frame that are more valuable if they were issued from a local bank. This bill was issued by the Federal Reserve Bank in Chicago, Illinois.
1929 STOCK MARKET CRASH / 1930s DEPRESSION
Consider that this 1929 Ten Dollar bill was in circulation during the Stock Market Crash - Wall Street Crash, which occurred on October 24, 1929, also known as Black Tuesday.
Moreover, maybe this Ten Dollar bill was coveted during the depression of the 1930s. Maybe that is why it has existed and survived for almost the last 90 years.

BROWN SEAL - NATIONAL CURRENCY - TEN DOLLARS
It looks unusual with a Brown Seal of the Treasury and Brown Serial Numbers.

The Treasury Seal states
- "REDEEMABLE IN LAWFUL MONEY OF THE UNITED STATES AT UNITED STATES TREASURY OR AT THE BANK OF ISSUE."
NATIONAL CURRENCY STATEMENT
The Ten Dollar National Currency states
- "NATIONAL CURRENCY SECURED BY UNITED STATES BONDS DEPOSITED WITH THE TREASURER OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA OR BY LIKE DEPOSIT OF OTHER SECURITIES TEN DOLLARS."
FEDERAL RESERVE BANK STATEMENT

- "THE FEDERAL RESERVE BANK OF CHICAGO ILLINOIS WILL PAY TO THE BEARER ON DEMAND TEN DOLLARS."

That looks really old. I have an old bill from another country, I dont know which one, but it is really small.
