My 1st casting
So I have done my first proper pour and it turned out ok, I used sifted delft clay packed on to the pharoah in a cast iron mold. I used some broken 925 jewellery and it was melted in my electric furnace. I wish I had used some talc on the pharoah so the clay hadn't stuck to the smaller details but you live and learn. The piece weighs 38.3g of sterling silver.
silver pharoah
delft clay in the mold
The plastic toy I used
I only noticed after pouring there was some clay stuck in the finer details

Thanks for showing us your first pour. Every time you pour something you will learn and get better. 👍🏻
Looks great pal! shame about the imperfections because of the stuck clay but you live and learn! You'll be selling them online some day!
