It is sort of silver
So I picked up only one thing today and it is not technically silver but back in 1923 in could have been exchanged for a silver dollar. It is a 1923 silver certificate blue series 1 dollar bill, this is not a long post but I think this is worth showing even though it has been folded into a square for almost a century.
Even though the note has been folded it still feels crisp, it will now go into a plastic sleeve and stored in a banknote album for safe keeping.

Very nice! I have a coupla red seal $2 bills and 3 silver cert's (blue seal) - one is a 1935 F - all stored in a plastic sleeve for decades. $20 takes all, delivered - if anyone is interested!
Wonder if it could be ironed as the paper was of much better quality back then.....HaHa
