Upstairs Remodel ULOG #5
Good day all out there in the precious metals community and the ULOG posters!! This is my fifth ULOG and really should have been up a long long time ago. I finally have got a second to show what my upstairs has turned into from all the remodeling! I am kind of skipping ahead to after all the drywall, casing, baseboard, and paining are complete lol. I just feel like I owe it to you guys to see what the work turned into. Here ya go! We start with the large bedroom first.
(Large bedroom painted gold or course :P)
We chose to go with gold paint (me recommendation), with the ceilling, knee walls, built in dresser, and the dormer walls white.
The panels you see on the wall are faux except a few of them pop off to give access to the crawl spaces behind. Really much better than the previous entrances which were basically pieces of paneling that had handles on them and lifted out.
Here is a great view of the new closes door and the base of the new light fixture and you can see the smaller bedroom in the rear painted in the same manner.
We tried to keep the furniture clean with the white color and the large dresser kind of mirroring the built in on the other side. With the cabinet in the center we wanted a piece that would draw the eye, but feel like it belonged. Also, it shows the new light fixture that later became a ceiling fan.
In order to save space, but add light to the room we went with wall mount reading lights with adjustable necks. Also, the night stands are in the same furniture family as the large dresser.
Here it is with the bed added.
A final touch was the addition of a closet organizing to help with storage.
Now the small bedroom mirrors this one in many ways, but has faux panels on both knee walls. Sadly, I have not taken any newer pics of this room because it is still kind of a blank slate.

Looks awesome @dwingsworld! I like the idea of the panels to get to the crawl space. You could hide some goodies up there.
@vgholdingsllc I have always been fascinated by hidden passages, rooms, and security measures. When I design or layout spaces I often try incorporate something different like that. Thanks for the kind words and support!
