Its #Piratesunday: Captain K and the Isle of Skye (@dixiesilverminer entry)

Welcome to the Silver Wing and the next chapter in the Adventures of Captain K

When we last left our daring adventurers they were drifting toward the Isle of Skye, home of the Silver Fairy Queen Savore in search of the Cerridwen Skull.

Captain K's ship the Dragon Fire and his crew were badly beaten by the battle with the Mother of All Monsters and he ordered his first mate D to "drop anchor and head to the shore to regroup!" D quickly got the crew together and within the hour everyone was on shore. The men began setting up camp before nightfall, while Captain K met with his first mate and Sir Bentley. After discussing the situatino and the facts they knew, Sir Bentley noted that the Cerridwen Skull was rumored to have been gifted to the Silver Fairy Queen Savore because Poseidon thought it added to her natural ability to inspire and unlock hidden potential. Captain K stated that given their current location those rumors appear true! As the dark of night set in all the men noticed a bright shimmering light from the North. The three men decided this would be their destination at first light. As dawn broke the small band set to journeying north, but before he left Captain K ordered his men to restock and repair the ship. He also warned them to beware the water as Precious the Mermaid could still be heard singing in the distance.

After walking for what seemed like forever the men came upon a pool that seemed to glow even in the brightest sun!

Sir Bentley using his amazing speed did a sweep of he area but did not locate anyone. Sitting down to rest and refill their waters, the men suddenly heard faint laughing. The laughter was joyous and light stemming from the very pool they were by. D leaned over to lookin the water and could see millions of silver light streaks; almost instantly D was surrounded by a bright aura and then pulled into the crystal clear water. Captain K and Sir Bently looking at each other groaned and both jumped into the pool.
Waking up D found himself in a sea cave filled with crystals, gems, mystic flowers, and cold coins everywhere. Attempting to stand he found himself restrained and noticed both his Captain and Sir Bentley in the same predicament. Looking at the ceiling of the cave he saw millions of silver streaks flying through the air.

D said "silver fairies" under his breath when a voice sweet as necture said "Why are you in my kingdom and why did you attack my people?" Confused D Said "we attacked none and we are on a quest for the Cerridwen Skull." Suddenly, a silver streak grew taller before his eyes and before him was the great Silver Fairy Queen Savore. She glowed brightly with long silver hair and wings attached to a figure of woman appearing no more than 20 in age. Looking at her D was stunned and hypnotized by he deep eyes and beauty.

The Queen asked again "Why did you attack my people?" D stuttered out the words "I swear your highness we did nothing of the sort." Captain K waking from his trance yelled "he is telling the truth your majesty!" Captain K then recounted to the Queen the tale of how they had come to be in this magic isle. Using her magic abilities and her wisdom the Queen realized the men were telling the truth. D asked the Queen what had been happening to her people, and she recounted several stories of Silver Fairy cities being destroyed and left lifeless. The pool was one of the few cities left. Captain K seeing a great opportunity said "maybe we can help each other Queen Savore." If we aid your people could you point us in the direction of the Cerridwen Skull? Laughing the Queen reached into a pouch on her hip and pulled out the Cerridwen Skull. "Good Captain I can not give you this skull, but I can share with you knowledge that no mortal knows. Hearing this Captain K said its a deal your Highness!
The Queen said I shall take you to one of our surviving cities and she escorted the men to a large door shaped like a leaf on the cavern wall.
