Small Aquisition for the stack :) and the Number 88 steemit coin good fortune continues \o/
Today i added a small 1995 Silver Proof 2 pound United Nations Coin. @russellbury still no cobra bites or falling signs, the good fortune continues, im hoping the picture quality is a little better taken on the iphone i won at work in a raffle :D although wrestling with itunes all evening etc is not my idea of fun.
Anyhow back to the coin, its not very big but i like it and comes in a screw capsule ive not seen before I think its about half an ounce but is very lustrous and mirror like :)

tysm @phelimint, i wonder sometimes what i would have done if i hadn't started collecting silver would probably have wasted it on rubbish, i seem to remember that @raybrockman once said sorry ray cant remember the exact words but was on the lines of "if you want to feel the true value of silver hold it in your hands" that is so true especially for someone who has never held silver before and are thinking of starting, to those people i would just say grab a little and see :)

It shows 1945-1995, so that must be some sort of 50th anniversary coin. Very nice.
yeah its celebrating 50 years of the United Nations after the last terrible world war it was set up to prevent future wars by promoting peace and i think also it can call to account as a group any indiscretions
that occur worldwide october 24th 1945 was the date it came to be and i suppose in today's trying times there has never been a better need for its philosophy, so a small coin with big ideals i guess :)
