Top 3 Gold and Silver Bulls
With the US Stockmarket dropping another 1000 points and the Volatility Index Funds now effectively broken, we might be up for some increased volatility in traditional financial markets for a while to come. I know a lot of Steemians are really only interested in Crypto markets, but Cryptos are still just a small player on the big stage and if the big financial markets start having palpitations or even crash it WILL affect the Crypto market one way or the other.

I’ve been a Gold Bug for longer than I’ve been a Crypto Zealot, but like a lot of members of the #steemsilvergold group here on STEEM I can see the value in holding both. I’m always encouraging people to diversify their investments and that’s what I try and do on this blog. I own a bit of everything and am careful not to put all my eggs in one basket. But as I’ve mentioned before, we are at the height of the “Everything Bubble” so if it pops now it’s going to be messy – for all of us.

There are a lot of Gold and Silver commentators out there. Many could be called Pumpers or Doomers and have been saying the same thing for years now. To be fair, it is nearly impossible to time the market without inside information, but there are some old Gold Bulls who have a bit of a track record of getting calls right and so they have some credibility. I’d like to share with you my Top 3 who seem to not only get a bit of exposure on mainstream media, but they also tend to back up their comments with thoughtful analytics. As a bit of an analyst myself, I believe that’s important. It’s OK to be a Bull as long as you’re not full of sh…..

Jim has written numerous books about issues with the financial system as it currently stands. His biggest claim to fame is that he was General Counsel for the hedge fund Long-Term Capital Management, which was front and centre during the Asian Financial Crisis of 1997 and then the Russian Financial Crisis in 1998. He played a key role in negotiations for the bail out of LTCM by the Federal Reserve where he claims to have seen first-hand that the world’s financial system was just hours away from total collapse. He also advises the US intelligence community about capital markets and has been predicting a global reset of the financial system for a few years. He talks at a very high level which I personally like, but if you’re just getting started in this space then try the other 2 below first.

Mike authored “Guide to Investing in Gold and Silver” the biggest selling book about Precious Metals of all time. He is also the founder and owner of GoldSilver.com which sells a lot of metal and is a highly regarded investment education company. Recently he has made a number of very informative videos which show a lot of analytics and technical indicators to back up his claims that there is a new crisis looming. He is softly spoken and is very good at explaining things in a way that can be easily understood so his material is very accessible to newer investors who are interested in Silver and Gold.

Peter is a market analyst who famously predicted the 2008 financial crisis and he runs an investment firm called Euro Pacific Capital. He too has written a number of books and has also been predicting an imminent major financial crisis for the last few years. He’s a bit more of a showman and can frequently be entertaining if you’re already a Gold and Silver devotee. Peter is very regularly producing podcasts, videos and doing bold interviews so he always has something to say – about nearly everything.
All three of these guys are extremely bullish on Gold and Silver and predicting the same sort of calamity to hit the flawed global financial system. All three of them also are very sceptical and even bearish about the future of Crypto so yes, I am aware, please spare my comments section from your hate mail. I get it. Many would argue these 3 guys are old dinosaurs who don’t really understand Crypto, but if you have a look at their material they are getting up to speed fairly quickly. Mostly their arguments against Crypto is because it is not “Sound Money” as it is not backed by anything. They have a point.

If you’re looking to learn more about Gold and Silver, or want to hear a contrarian view about the current state of the traditional financial markets then these guys are worth following and you can see their latest videos on the links provided. Even if you’re a diehard Gold Bug, grab some popcorn because if the traditional financial markets start tanking these guys will be fun to watch and they’ll each get their time in the spotlight.

What an excellent article! I already knew of the three Sophists you featured accurately, but just really well presented! Goddamn!
Thanks man. Really appreciate the compliment. Means a lot coming from another hard core Gold Bug :)
Th everything bubble is coming. Head for the hills!!!!!!
so true, even the stock market that is perceived as sound money and being backed by something is crashing. so we should give the crypto market a break. i guess all markets will recover soon enough.
Great post. I also find Jim Willie of the Golden Jackass very entertaining. He is alittle more colorful with his words but think he has a lot of good insight. Thanks for your post. Very well done
I haven't seen Jim Willie or the Golden Jackass. Will take a look, thanks.
He's on a steady dose of meds, that's for sure, most geniuses are a bit out there...but he has been accurate about a lot of things over the past few years...his presentation style is so over the top, I think he turns some folks off...but the substance is pretty good.
There already is inflation in the things rich people buy - assets like stocks and real estate.
So many people saying things like "where's the inflation? Core CPI is stuck at 2%! A bag of potato chips costs the same that it did 10 years ago!" Ummm, dipshit, do you realize housing is only getting less affordable? That the CPI formula is somewhat arbitrary and not transparent? That more and more rich foreigners are buying American real estate, because they're getting comparatively wealthier, and we're losing ground? The inflation is so obvious, yet people choose not to believe it. It's baffling.
(And yes, I'm aware that CPI has some "owner's equivalent rent" calculation for incorporating housing costs. It's still bullshit). @buggedout
It's not just America. Same thing happening in Australia and other 1st world countries too I'd wager.
Surprised I didn't make the list, maybe next year? Buy gold or die! - @goldenarms
You're definitely in the top 100 mate!
You might need to put a book out or something ;)
I'm slowly getting more and more into gold. Before this year I next had any, silver has always been my pm of choice. Good info, thanks.
Cheers. It's hard to get into Gold and not like Silver too. I find Gold easier to understand though. Silver seems a bit more complicated and volatile but maybe that's just my bias.
I really appreciate this share man! I've heard about all these guys but never followed them closely and had NO IDEA they had youtube channels!
Thanks again!
You're very welcome. Glad you got some value out of my post. All 3 have put out fresh content in the last couple of days, if not hours.
Yeah you are right stock market play the role of backbone for every country so it's much important thanks for sharing this extra information
Awesome write up. You should add Gerald Celente and Robert Kiyosaki to this list. They are also PM bulls.
Thanks. Those guys are good too, they just didn't make my top 3. Gerald Celente can be a bit eccentric at times, but I have a lot of respect for Robert Kiyosaki.
