"Jedi" is both plural and singular so the last Jedi may be one or 2 or more people. Or luke Skywalker may be the last Jedi and Rey and kylo Ren may form a new sect that does away with the Jedi and Sith and brings balance to the force.

It is just a rant at the way things are or should be, would you change Billy the Kid with a women, or Patton, this might be made up, but they are using this one gender on people even in the movies, which I do not watch. Portraying historical figures as female would not make sense, not to mention there are lots of badass women from history.
Fiction is fiction and I don't mind whatsoever Jedi or any other made up characters being male,female, animal, alien, droid or anything else.
