Canadian Wilderness I

in #steemsilvergold5 years ago

Lush forests, dangerous predators along with gentle giants and lots of maples. That's what the Canadian Flora and Fauna is all about. In the following days, we look into some coins from the Canadian Wildlife series.

Gentle Giants

The first two entries are iconic animals from Canada. The moose and the bison. Both animals can be very gentle, but one wrong move and you better run, fast.
Anyway back to the coins, they are both one ounce of silver and were released in 2011 and 2012. They both have a matte finish with the details being in mirror finish. A very interesting combination.

In my opinion the moose design is a bit bland, just a moose with some blades of grass. The bison on the other hand looks amazing. The nature around the animal is executed perfectly. The animal looks like its charging straight out of the coin. Not superimposed like the elk.

Elly and some more Canadian Wildlife coins, can you make out the remaining two?

Sort:

I had a tube of bison and they all spotted up badly so I sold them. None of my mooses have that issue. I like the moose coin design better also.

Yeah, that always sucks with silver from the RCM. But funny that it's just the opposite with mine. The bison doesn't show any milk spots at all, but the elk already has some.

Wolf and another canadian animal. (Bever?)

Pretty close, the wolf is correct but the second one isn't a bever :)
