Ever since he was a kid, Chester wanted to help people.

“How can I maximize my ability to help people?” Chester asked himself. Chester didn’t want to just help people, he wanted to maximize his goal - how could he help people the most? How could he anchor his life around helping others?

Chester was going to become the President of the United States. Chester realized, to have the broadest, most significant social impact, he would have to be in the greatest position of power possible. As President, he would focus on social reform for things like drug addiction, influence healthcare policy across the world, and fight against poverty as long as he lived.

Chester’s original question was: “How can I maximize my ability to help people?”

His answer to this question was another question: “How can I become the President of the United States, in order to maximize helping others?”

The slow, tragic fall of a man with good intentions who keeps making sacrifices to achieve his goals, and by doing so, goes completely against his ideals.
