SERIES 3 :WHAT DRIVES YOU.
Everyone life is driven by something. Some are driven by problem, anxiety etc.
Drive means to oblige,force, compel,control or operate. What ever oblige you will determine your success in life.
SCRIPTURE REVIEW
Ecclesiastes 4:4 Again, I considered all travail, and every right work, that for this a man is envied of his neighbour. This is also vanity and vexation of spirit. 4:5 The fool foldeth his hands together, and eateth his own flesh. 4:6 Better is an handful with quietness, than both the hands full with travail and vexation of spirit. 4:7 Then I returned, and I saw vanity under the sun. 4:8 There is one alone, and there is not a second; yea, he hath neither child nor brother: yet is there no end of all his labour; neither is his eye satisfied with riches; neither saith he, For whom do I labour, and bereave my soul of good? This is also vanity, yea, it is a sore travail.
5 COMMON EXAMPLES OF WHAT DRIVES PEOPLE.
1) DRIVEN BY GUILT
Their awareness of having done wrong create a vaccum in their life. These set of people spend their time regreting over their past lives. They allow their past life to control them. They are manipulated by memories so they spend their entire lives hiding in shame.
They end up unconsciously sabotage.
Judas was driven by guilt that he hanged himself.
When Cain sin God said he will be a restless wanderer all through his life.Gods nature of mercy gives men second chance as long you are alive. If God can change Mary Magdalene into a saints he can do anything. Learn to forgive yourself.
2)DRIVEN BY DISPLEASURE.
Holding on to discomfort is a way of carrying endless self burden.
Resentment people hold on to grudge against others hurting themselves.
know this: your past is past. Learn from it and move on.
3) DRIVEN BY FEAR
Many are driven by unpleasent emotion caused by dread, terror or induced by anxiety and worry.
Regardless of the causes fear driven people often miss great opportunities beacause they are afraid to venture out, instend they play it save avoiding risk.
Fear is a life prison that keep you from becoming what God wants you to be. You must move against it with the weapons of faith and love.
4)DRIVEN BY PHYSICALISM.
Their concern over material possesions and wealth drives them. The desires to always get more is based on the fact and believe that having more will make them happy not knowing possession only provides temporary happiness.
They also think if they get more, they will be more important.
Self worth and Net worth aren't the same.
They believe having more will make them more secure but real security comes from God.
5) DRIVEN BY ENCOURGEMENT.
They allow commendation of friends, families, spouses to control their lives.
Many adults are still trying to earn the approval of unpleasable parents.
Others may be driven by peer pressure, always wondering what others think unfortunately those who follows the crowd usually get lost in it.
One major key to failure is to try to please everyone.
Jesus said no one can serve two masters.
Other forces that can drive your life but also leads to dead end includes unused potentials, unnecessary stress, unfulfilled life.
Let your life be controlled more by God's purpose. The greatest tragedy is not death but life without purpose.
Knowing your purpose gives meaning to your life. Knowing your purpose simplifies your life, you tend to know which activities to do and not do.
Many people try to do too much which causes stressed, fatigue and conflict.
Nothing can compensate for not knowing the purpose of God for your life, not wealth, success or fame.
Without God life has no purpose, without purpose life has no meaning and without meaning life has no significance or hope because when life has meaning you can bear almost anything.
