SteemQuest : The Key is Turned (part 2)

SteemQuest is an ongoing and growing RPG world here on Steem. New players are always welcome. Players can come and go as they desire, just let us know when you are leaving (say you are taking an IRL 2 week vacation) we will make sure your character is somewhere safe until you return (or Thunk may just cover you with leaves on the side of the road)

Our Story:

the large rock creatures run and merge into the walls on the far side of the cave. All that is left is a few pebbles that are wandering around.

The portal is closed (vanished??) and Kermit is trying to get the key out of the lock with no luck.

Sort:  

Panda says 'Nice work Thunk ' and secretly looks down at kermit for not figuring anything out

Thunk tries turning the key back the other way to see if it only comes out when the portal is opened.

As Thunk turns the key the portal hums back to life. You can see the cellar of the tavern.

Does the key pull out now? And if Thunk closes it, does the key pull out then?

Thunk experiments with this theory.

The key will not come out of the lock but you can open and close the portal.

Where is the rock key ?

Thunk says, “Quaid. You still got that other key? The one with the rocks on it? Let’s see what happens when we use that key.”

Zur starts to sharpen his mace on a nearby rock.

Pandora is confused, being caught up with the combat mostly and not noticing what the others did. "Can someone tell me what the hell just happened?!"

She retreats to the safety of the rest of the party and continues to replenish her mana, in case of another pebble-attack

Thunk says, “Have a Seat princess while us intellectu-alls do a little thinkin’ about this glowing hole in the wall and these keys. Your Uncle sent us out into this world and if this isn’t what the problem was then he just doesn’t know it yet.”

Thunk start to wonder if there are more glowing holes in basements all over town. How did the glowy holes get made to begin with? They glow like the Ley Lines... Hmm. Do we need to channel magic into the portal? Into the keys?

Thunk suddenly has a splitting headache.

"I could try empowering the key, but you'd have to throw it like a missile in order to make it work"

I have a little... real little...bit of know how on the Ley Lines. I’ll try to put some magic into the key.

Thunk concentrates REAL hard using the 1 mana and tries the key again.

Omar lost interest in the pebbles...turns around: WHAT ARE U ALL DOING DOWN THERE....waking down to Kermit. and co..

Having depleted happyme's mana on healing, happyme uses 4 turns to recover mana
@rolltwodice to see how much is recovered.

You blow on two 6-sided dice, and throw:

First die lands...
You rolled a 6.

Second die lands...
You rolled a 6.

Full mana is restored!
