Great idea, I think it is necessary for a real option other than Youtube and would like to see this project being a huge success. As someone mentioned a careful consideration must be made regarding copyrighted material, as to not scare away content creators.
It also gives me a comforting feeling to have someplace else to upload video to a decentralized network not run by the google octopus.
