A 20$ bottle of 10-year is ten years old. Equal or greater than any other "cheap" wine, this 10-year was under 20 bucks and over 20% ABV. It did not entail a headache or taste horrible. As a wine goes it was a great buy. As 10-year tawny porto goes, it was the cheapest! Still a good wine.
