One with Nature at Mt. Kitanglad Agro Eco Farm

Back into nature, our souls sing a song of praise. It keeps our sane in place and gives glory to the one who made the trees grow, the sunshine and the flowers bloom. He who controls the Earth and the center of it all. It is He who manages the universe and makes it grow too!

Truly, there's something in nature that resonates, it brings joy and peace, it is full of mystery and certain wisdom to design nature in such a way that it can take care of itself without the need of human beings. Yet humans in itself can't live a day without nature's goodness brought by the Almighty.

In this blog, I would like to show a part of the 22-hectare preserve of Mt. Kitanglad Agro Eco Farm. The flowers, the coffee beans, sun-dried and roasted, the hairy caterpillar which was passing by an unripe coffee fruit, their lavenders, the spiders hanging on its web as the sun lifts up a bright shine on it, there are more of it.

Looking for a place to realign yourself, to listen to the birds sing or perhaps the wild insects attract their mates, and also perhaps focus on the sound of the rain dropping on the tin roof or the soil-made top of the hobbit's home, it's your choice. Mt. Kitanglad Agro Eco Farm brings all of that down to you. Just come over to the farm with no high expectation but humbleness and a full appreciation.

Soon, the farm's flower garden will bloom with a variety of splendor. They got Celosia, Lavenders, Marigold and more! This could be a pretty photo opportunity corner too once that happens.

A friend that barks. Their resident dog but they also have two other types, one was a Husky and the other a Dalmatian.
Locally grown Arabica coffee beans being sun dried at the farm! It was our first time to see them unroasted.

Mt. Kitanglad Agro Eco Farm religiously brews freshly ground Arabica coffee for all their guests, walk ins or overnight stays. Those coffee lovers out there will surely have more!

Here's the roasted ones. As per the farm worker, they do the process by themselves manually.
They looked like black berries but they aren't. They were also being sun-dried and the workers don't know what they are and what they were for. It was the owner who asked them to just dry it.

At the end of the day, we hunger for nature. Our thirsty souls will look for the tranquility brought about by the sweet, pollution-free aroma of the virgin forest's air breeze, to get close to the foggy land and be embraced by the overwhelming truth that someone is looking after nature and most especially us.

How to get to Mt. Kitanglad Agro Eco Farm?

From Cagayan De Oro, take a bus going to Malaybalay, there's Rural Bus Lines or Pabama Bus Tours which also has their double-decker buses traveling every 6 AM, 12 NN and 6 PM from Agora Bus Terminal. Ticket fare is at Php 130, take the air-conditioned bus because the trip can be long and tiring. For more comfortable and entertaining trip, take one of the Pabama buses which have entertainment system on each seat.

Travel time takes more or less three hours. Advise the bus personnel to drop you at Sumpong, motorcycle drivers are available for hire at Php 150 one way. The road going to Imbayao is challenging, if the weather is not good, it will take more courage to get there. It will take another 45 minutes drive, don't miss the array of Rainbow Eucalyptus and take a selfie!
