One of my Favourite PS1 Games - 射雕英雄傳

10 years ago or even before that, I had one of the latest popular consoles at that time the Playstation 1.
I still remember the day that my father bought it for me with a bundle of games at Bukit Panjang Plaza. This game was in fact not chosen by me. The storekeeper placed it into the PS1 during the testing to let us see that it works, and I guess he forgot to take it out.
You could say that I was really naive back then and did not know how 'saved games' worked. Or maybe it was my father's plan to make me not play so much. I can't remember if I had a memory card placed in the slot, or whether I did not place it properly, but I could never 'save a game'. Each time I turned on the PS1, I had to play the game from scratch, so it was impossible to complete the game in my 1-2 hour alloted 'playing time'.
However, this game was really cool, and I really liked the music and dialogue. The game is based off Legend of the Condor Heroes / 射雕英雄傳 / Shachou Eiyuuden that was written by Jin Yong. Many remakes as Drama have appeared, I think almost every year there is one new drama retelling the story.
You play as the main character, 郭靖 Guo Jing, who will definitely get defeated at one of the battles early on, his friend runs away, and the pro, 江南七怪 Jiang Nan Qi Guai will appear to rescue you and teach you some spells.
The voice actors in the game are superb and the music really gets you heated up for the battles.
Did you play the PS1 before? Which was your most memorable game?

Awesome stuff, thanks for sharing!
I've actually been doing some "historical" gaming posts lately, covering noteworthy games released in certain years (just made two about 98 and 2000) and the most memorable game for me in a similar genre as your above was "Legend of Dragoon"
