Cox's Bazaar: Water shortage in makeshift camps has further tightened Rohingya’s sufferings in a makeshift camp of Kutupalong, Cox’s Bazaar, according to reports received on 16th October 2018.

A water pump located at Block -15, O-zone, camp-4 of Kutupalong is only able to meet the requirement of 80 families, where 160 families are sheltering in total.

The only water pump in the area was provided by organizations called COTE and Mukti and is serving water needs of the 50% Rohingya in that area.

The condition of the remaining 50% Rohingya is turning worse as the women, children, and men have to travel to far off places in the hilly areas to fetch water for daily purpose.

"We have to travel to very far-off places to collect water and we are in desperate need of another water pump," explains a suffering Rohingya.
