Water Shortage Accelerates Sheltering Rohingyas’ Suffering

Cox's Bazar: Rohingya sheltering in a makeshift camp of Zadimura were once again seen in a long never-ending queue for collecting the water they needed for daily activity and their queue never ends due to the shortage of water collection points in the area, reports a local today (16th October).
In the camp D-27 area of Zadimura, residing Rohingya were seen standing in a long queue. Due to the usual long time of waiting under the naked sun, usually, Rohingya were seen to queue up their water collecting pots and utensils.

“We are tired of queuing up for water for hours to hours. Hours pass but sometimes we have to return without water,” says a suffering Rohingya while queuing up his utensils.
The water collecting point shown above is the only eligible water collection point in the area and is unable to meet the requirement of the sheltering Rohingya at camp D-27.

According to locals, increment at several collection points in the required camps can not only solve their issues but also for another Rohingya suffering in different camps.
Since 2016, nearly 1.3 million Rohingya are sheltering in the makeshift camps of Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, and their sufferings seem to increase day by day.
