3 Major Steem News

Hello Steemians,

You know what? The first quarter of this year has just begun and there are already 3 major news happening! I'm not much of news geek when it comes to Steem, but highlighting this here would be great to get some feedback by the communities.

What has happened?

Let me just recap on what has happened this couple of days.

1. Opportunity for Steem to be paired for USD-STEEM and listed in Bittrex

The good thing about this news, it gave us the opportunity to show the Steem community. We want Steem to be listed in Bittrex for USD-STEEM pair. This means that it will open up so many opportunities such as new investment, recruiting more new people and opening up of more new area which we might not have thought about. With this opportunity, we can increase Steem value even further and I think it will be really good for us too!

What did we do?

Making noise as much as possible! With so many passionate communities such as @oracle-d and @theycallmedan to lead the initiative, they brought Steemians voice to Twitter! The campaign is still ongoing, so let's tell our fellow Steemians to shout to Twitter! COME ON STEEMIAN, LET'S UNITE!

How?

This was one of the major news announced and ultimately showed how Steem community can really work well and united!

2. Humongous Powering Down by Steemit

To hear this kind of new, of course it's going to be really scary! There were about 34 million SP has been powered down by Steemit. There is a memo written on this move by @ned just in case you didn't see this.

By far, I won't be commenting on this move and there have been a lot of speculation arisen. It's really hard to give any opinion at this point in time. It's wise to keep an eye of this movement though. We might expect a drop in the price in a couple of weeks if there are no further development of this investment and trades. But, personally I am expecting surprise news in this couple of days. Hopefully, good news!

3. Undelegation by @misterdelegation

This is another big news I got from the Trending blogs.

@misterdelegation is one of the big whales who has been dedicatedly helping by supporting and delegating SP to communities in their projects. However, recently, it has undelegated from most of the communities. Again, it's hard to make any comment at this point in time. There has been a lot of speculation of this move with a minimal amount of explanation. So, do keep your eyes wide open!

What do I think about this news?

In my humble opinion, by looking at the timing of all the three events, I am positive something great is happening very soon! Hopefully something good.
