Steemit's reputation is important, hunting rewards is far more
steemit is not a race event, all published content depends on how we mix each post to attract the attention of readers and also the dolphins and even whales to give rewards to the content posted.
The better the quality of the content, the faster the reputation will accompany you to go up, certainly not only with the quality of the content, but the reward value that fills the content will make the reputation grow faster and grow.
The alternative is to hunt for rewards, of course, by buying bots, it's just that even though it has filled the value of content with a fair amount when buying a bot but it doesn't balance when claimed reward, (Understanding the Bot Performance "Between Steem Cycle and Business"). but the positive side to improving bot reputation is the right solution without having to wait for upvote.
Chasing rewards doesn't have to be good quality content, if you have many partners in surfing in the internet then upvote is lobbying, emotional connection and closeness to the people around you, but having good quality content, it's likely that the reward value will fill your content.
So, two things to build reputation and hunt for rewards are two interests that complement each other in steemit, and in essence we must continue to improve the quality of the content so that the reward cube is still filled and reputation will immediately accompany your account.
