这是我参加的由 @aaronli举办的小城故事相片比賽的作品。

这次台北之行的最后一站，我来到了松山文创园区。这里到处散布着很多的书店、杂货店、咖啡店、跳蚤市场，还有熙熙攘攘穿梭在各个展馆的人们。不得不说，台北真的是一座极富艺术气息的城市，仿佛有看不完的电影和展览。

On the last stop of my trip in Taipei, I came to Songshan Cultural and Creative Park. There are bookshops, grocery stores, coffee shops, flea markets and people bustling through pavilions. It has to be said that Taipei is really a city full of artistic flavor, and it seems that there are endless movies and exhibitions.

一手抱着西瓜汁，一手捧着本刚从诚品买的书。我穿过巴洛克花园，突然感觉到周围的喧嚣仿佛被吸入了黑洞，一切变得安静起来。

Holding watermelon juice in one hand and a book just bought from Eslite in the other. As I walked through the Baroque Garden, I suddenly felt as if the noise around me had been sucked into the black hole, and everything became quiet.

转过一个拐角，映入眼帘的就是这家「不只是图书馆」。

Around the corner, I saw「Not Just a Library」

「不只是图书馆」是台湾首家设计主题的图书馆，拥有来自世界各地的3万多册设计藏书和超过上百种设计期刊。这个图书馆同时还有一个3m 3m的小型展馆，展出过大量艺术家的作品。图书馆的标志是由台湾著名设计师聂永真设计的，室内则是由台湾著名建筑师姚政仲操刀。

Not Just Library is Taiwan’s first design-themed library and has a collection of more than 30,000 design publications and 100 magazine titles from around the world. The library also has a small three metre by three metre gallery that hosts exhibitions by a range of artists. The library's logo was designed by Taiwan's leading designer Aaron Nieh , while the interior was designed by the famous Taiwanese architect Yao Cheng-Chung .

聂永真在设计Logo的时候，认为「不只是图书馆」给人的感觉“不应该太商业气息，应当丰富有文学性”。因此，他在设计的时候摒除了抽象图像，单纯以「不只是图书馆」作为主体视觉呈现出来。姚政仲在做室内设计的时候，最大限度的保留里原本建筑的窗户，使得自然光可以倾泻满馆内，展现了时尚的生活空间。同时，他运用了大量黑色金属框架与深色玻璃，让馆内又呈现出一种学术的理性气息。

When designing the Logo, Aaron Nieh believed that「 Not Just a Library」should gave people the feeling that "more than commercial, but also be rich in literature". Therefore, he abandoned abstract images in his design and presented them with the word 「 Not Just a Library」 as the main vision. When doing interior design, Yao Cheng-Chung kept the unique windows of the original building and the warm natural light fills the library’s interior and brings the stylish space to life. At the same time, he used a lot of black metal frames and dark glass, so that the museum presents an academic sense of rationality. Not Just Library is an essential stop for all fans of design.

原名为「设计图书馆」的「不只是图书馆」自更名以后，除了提供阅读功能以外，还规划了展览、咖啡bar等空间。和店员的闲聊中得知，这里未来还将举办「不只是讲座」、「不只是读书会」等「不只是」活动，使得图书馆在功能上更趋于多元化。

After changing the name from 「Design Library」 to 「 Not Just a Library」, in addition to providing reading function, it has also planned for exhibition, coffee bar and so on. Chatting with the shop assistant, I learn that there will be "Not Just Lectures", "Not Just Book Reading" and other "Not Just" activities in the future, which makes the library more diversified in functions.

当你走进图书馆，自然界的虫鸣鸟鸣都被隔绝在了外面。这里安静的，几乎都是听到自己呼吸的声音。

When you walk into the library, the sound of natural world is shut out. It is so quiet that you can even hear your breathe.

大概这个时段比较空闲，又或是我的口音太让人误会，店员陪我走过一个个书架。通过和他的交流，得知「不只是图书馆」是台湾专业的设计资讯中心，由台湾创意设计中心所营运。

Maybe it's a vacant time or my accent is so misleading, the clerk walks me through the shelves. Through communication with him, I learned that 「 Not Just a Library」 is a professional design information center in Taiwan, which is operated by Taiwan Creative Design Center.

这里的藏书涵盖了：工业设计、商业设计、包装设计、人因工程、建筑景观设计、展示设计、广告设计及电脑绘图等方面。同时，这里还拥有国内外各类设计辅导、市场研究、学术论文、产品实例等丰富的成果报告。

The collection includes: industrial design, commercial design, packaging design, human factors engineering, architectural landscape design, display design, advertising design and computer graphics. At the same time, there are also a variety of design guidance, market research, academic papers, product examples and other reports.

这座专为设计师规划，就像灵感补给站一样的图书馆，为设计师们提供了完整、快速的设计趋势和资讯。

This library is designed for designers, and just like an inspiration supply station, providing designers with complete, fast design trends and information.

在台北工作的设计师们是幸福的。足不出户就可以看到来自世界各地最新的设计刊物。「不只是图书馆」开放式的空间、幽静的氛围，非常适合设计师们在这里思考和创作。

Designers working in Taipei are happy. They are able to read the latest design publications from all over the world without leaving home. The open space and quiet atmosphere of 「 Not Just a Library」 are very suitable for designers to think and create here.

It‘ll really take me a long time to finish reading this set of collection…

图书馆内拥有安静的氛围、温暖的光线、大面积的窗户、黑色书架、随处可见的绿色植物。这些使得这里比传统图书馆多了些许随性和时尚，在学术氛围里又保留了许多艺术家的自由。书架之间的懒人沙发，会让人有赖上一下午的冲动。

The library has a quiet atmosphere, warm light, large windows, black bookshelves and green plants everywhere. This makes it more casual and fashionable than a traditional library, except for the academic atmosphere. There're several lazy couches between bookshelves, which makes person have the impulse to hang up here for the whole afternoon.

我花了两三小时看完其中一本，企图想买另一本回家…

I spent two or three hours finishing reading one of them, and I intend to buy the other...

这就是我看书的地方啦～安静温和的自然光透过宽大的黑色窗棂，均匀撒进室内。我想，平日再聒噪的人在这里都平静下来，认认真真看完一本书。

Here is the place where I read. The quiet and gentle natural light is spread evenly through the wide black window lattice. I think even the most noisy people will calm down in here and read a book.

这是这个图书馆里我最喜欢的一角，就在看书的沙发边上。这里让我想起了曾经看到过的一句话：阳光能晒得到的地方，雨也能覆盖。城市里的房子、树木和人，通通被洗刷一番。空气很新鲜，有大树和泥土的气味。

This is my favorite corner of the library, next to the sofa. It reminds me of a sentence I once saw: Where the sun can shine, the rain can cover too. The houses, trees and people in the city were all washed. The air was fresh and has the smell of trees and mud.
