RE: Leeky vegetables with a Steem(y) virus rant on the side

in #steempress5 years ago

I've been meaning to catch up to this one for a while (5 days to be precise) - et voila, je suis arrivé!

Agree with the stance about corona virus. Can't help but feel that this whole situation of panic comes about from people not knowing anything and being lead to believe whatever someone (usually the media) reports.

If everyone just spent 5 minutes to read and understand the "symptoms and treatment/prevention" section of their health website, and PRACTICE good hygiene like washing their hands properly with soap for 20 seconds (rather than a quick half second splash) then the panic would be far less! Ironic that people still come to work when they have a cold which is more contagious and think nothing of possibly giving that to someone else...

Of course, there are those at higher risk - elderly and those with already existing underlying conditions who need to be more careful and we hope that they stay safe during this time. I also send my condolences to anyone who has been taken by the virus and hope for a speedy recover for anyone who gets it.

As for Steem stuff, things won't be the same but they definitely did need a change, just wasn't expecting something quite so nuclear...

And the leek dish looks lovely, glad the growing boy approves of it too 😃

Glad you stopped by Nick. Seems we're at idem on Covid-19.

Yes, the Steem thing has been rather atomic. And on that score, I'd rather be listening to the Blondie song....

Just heard Heart of Glass on BBC Radio 2 actually, found myself howling along whilst making some cheese toasties

Ah, now that takes me back...Loved the movie. Richard Gere. Even more.... 😜
