Los Puertos de Altagracia es una población venezolana ubicada en la Costa Oriental del Lago de Maracaibo. Fundada en el año 1529 por el explorador y conquistador alemán Ambrosio Alfinger (Ambrose von Alfinger), quien actuando en representación de la casa Welser de Augsburgo, ejercería como gobernador de la Provincia de Venezuela en tiempos que la corona española, para saldar sus deudas, había arrendado a los germanos parte de los territorios que hoy en día, corresponden a Colombia y Venezuela.

Este poblado lacustre cuenta con un amplio patrimonio arquitectónico y cultural, entre los que destacan, la Iglesia Nuestra Señora de Altagracia, la Casa Museo Gabriel Bracho, artista plástico zuliano, y el Centro Histórico y Cultural de Altagracia, que es la edificación que se refleja en mi fotografía. Lamentablemente, a pesar de las bondades que esta población cercana a la ciudad de Maracaibo, posee para el turismo, poco se ha hecho para cristalizar esfuerzos en esta área, que bien pudiera ser una fuente de ingresos para sus habitantes.

Esta fotografía que forma parte de mi archivo personal, la modifiqué haciendo uso de los filtros y herramientas de edición que proporciona el PicsArt, para lo cual empleé un filtro del tipo HDR (High Dynamic Range) con la finalidad de lograr una mayor amplitud de tonos que los filtros usualmente usados no permiten, y luego, emplearía un filtro sencillo de Blanco & Negro, con la finalidad de poder compartirla con esta comunidad.

Los Puertos de Altagracia is a Venezuelan population located on the East Coast of Lake Maracaibo. Founded in 1529 by the German explorer and conqueror Ambrose Alfinger (Ambrose von Alfinger), who acting on behalf of the house Welser of Augsburg, would serve as governor of the Province of Venezuela at a time when the Spanish crown, to settle their debts, had leased to the Germans part of the territories that today, correspond to Colombia and Venezuela.

This lakeside town has a broad architectural and cultural heritage, among which the Church of Our Lady of Altagracia, the Gabriel Bracho House Museum, Zulian plastic artist, and the Historic and Cultural Center of Altagracia, which is the building that is reflected in my picture. Unfortunately, despite the benefits that this population near the city of Maracaibo has for tourism, little has been done to crystallize efforts in this area, which could well be a source of income for its inhabitants.

This photo that is part of my personal file, I modified it using the filters and editing tools provided by the PicsArt, for which I used an HDR (High Dynamic Range) type filter in order to achieve a greater amplitude of tones that the filters usually used do not allow, and then, would use a simple filter of Black & White, in order to be able to share it with this community.
