REVIEW: JUSTICE LEAGUE WAR
Hello friends, today I’m going to talk to you about the movie “The Justice League: War”, these animated film universe that DC is making are based on the comics of the new 52 that started from Flashpoint, and although Barry doesn’t remember anything about this movie it’s a sequel to flashpoint, this film is an adaptation of the Justice League Origins comic book, although with some changes.
From the beginning of the story, we can see that people are not very sympathetic to heroes, which leaves us with a very interesting social problem to develop. The film begins with Green Lantern chasing Batman, then realizing that he is not a Batman, but an alien robot, then the real Batman arrives and begins a chase against this strange robot, sees the robot placing strange artifacts underground and decides to investigate further. They decide to go and ask Superman but then Green Lantern starts a confrontation with Batman to defeat Superman because none of them knew each other previously, as the film progresses we can notice that this Superman is very arrogant and arrogant and with some superiority complexes.
In this film, you can see very interesting interactions such as Batman and Green Lantern, Superman and The Wonder Woman or Cyborg and Shazam. A character that takes on a lot of prominence is Cyborg as they show us their origin which is related to the arrival of Darkseid we can bring a pessimism with him as he lost his chance to continue playing American Football professionally and now he will discover that his place is with the heroes.
As I said before, the heroes here are not well seen and Wonder Woman lets you see them when she goes in a limousine and stops to see people protesting against her arrival, I would have liked them to have focused much more on this part of the story because I thought it looked very promising as heroes will do so that people do not hate them but in the end everything is solved too easily.
One thing I must say I didn’t like about Darkseid is how he was treated, the guy just comes to destroy everything in his path without some kind of plan or strategy and he’s just a punching bag without being affected, and not a single interesting word comes out of his mouth.
A character that never called my attention and that I knew almost nothing about until I saw this movie is Shazam, the comedian of the day and I have to say that he was my favorite character in the film and I can’t wait to see his movie in live action, all that attitude of a boy in a man’s body caught my attention. With all of the above, you can deduce that the problem for the Justice League is not to fight the villain, but to organize and form a team. This film managed to introduce us and unite us to the Justice League, which will now have the approval of the people and will have to face different situations that occur in future films.
This film is very faithful to the comic, highly recommended, the only details are the villain’s poor flash development and some errors in animation but nothing serious, if you want to see the origin of the justice league this is a good start. In my next post I will tell you about the film “The Son of Batman” which also belongs to this universe, thank you for reading this far, Goodbye.
