In the heat of the day having a cobra slithering through is enough to make anyone take to the hills.
Cannot believe it is 30 years ago, how fast time has moves, yes it feels like yesterday. Hillbrow children going out to Magaliesberg I wonder what both look like today.

Well, happily, it was the cobra that headed to the hills.
Hillbrow is awful. Well, when I went close-ish a few years ago. I often wonder about the children. I believe Magalies is still quite pleasant.
Glad it decided to move away, not a species to play with even in the heat I would have been gone like the wind.
Have not ventured into either in over thirty years, I have been shocked and amazed enough with Johannesburg and Pretoria joining. Growing up, the koppies all along the Westrand were open to go hiking, took no more than a five minute walk from home to be in the veld.
I remember those days, too...
