iSTEEMd - Delegate Wisely

Every week, I search the deepest corners of the steem platform to look for a new or underrated tool/service that I think would be of interest to some of you.

Three weeks ago I wrote an article about a tool/service that calculates how much APR one have received through delegation. It's a pretty helpful tool if you want to get a quick estimate as to how much in total SP and SBD you have accumulated over time from delegating to bidbots plus it also calculates APR percentages. However, what if you are still on the process of choosing what voting bots to delegate to? What voting bots right now are the most profitable? What voting bots are focusing more on quality content and less spam? How much STEEM/SBD do this voting bots give back to their delegators on a daily basis? The process of delegating is the simplest part but choosing what voting bot to delegate to is most always the hardest one as there are many things to consider.

Introducing iSTEEMd!

iSTEEMd is the first-ever platform (http://isteemd.com) created and designed specifically to educate investors about how delegation works and to easily compare all the bots paying out different earnings to their respective delegators.

iSTEEMd curates every listed bot’s daily payout to their delegators directly from the Steemit blockchain and ranks them on the basis of several parameters through iSTEEMd score thereby enabling trust and transparency for all the delegators of the Steemit platform.

I search far and wide (okay not really) to search who created this awesome tool/service but didn't find any article or post mentioning him/her. However, it's being supported by other popular bots and by @yabapmatt (Owner of steembottracker) and @thejohalfiles is their largest delegator so iSTEEMd is really worth checking out.

To put it simply, iSTEEMd compares voting bots(only bots on their list) and gives them scores that are based on a lot of factors ranging from but is not limited to: Delegator Payouts, Consistency in Payouts, Delegator Retention, Bot User Satisfaction and more. They then rank these voting bots as per measured trust and performance of the bot.

As seen above, right now in terms of measured trust and bot performance @postpromoter seems to be on top with almost 3Million SP now coming from 105 delegators. Their Anti-Spam efforts are also High which means they "might" remove their vote if the upvoted post is of "spam-quality" or violated any of their rules and regulations.

@smartsteem comes in a close second with almost 2.7Million SP coming from 676 delegators. Scrolling to the right side we can see the upvoting bots Trust and Performance Score given by @isteemd, as well as their reputation and accounts age.

I can't really find the exact calculation as to how iSTEEMd scores are calculated but according to their site it is based on at least 6 important factors: Delegation Amount Received, Daily Payouts Given to Delegators, Delegator Retention, Delegator Upgrade Rate, Bot Downtime and Bot User Satisfaction.

I myself have mixed opinions on the usage of bidbots and to it's delegators, but it is not surprising to see a huge investor dumping most if not all of his/her Steem Power to a voting bot to passively earn some money as most of them don't have that much time to create and curate posts.

With iSTEEMd at least delegators now can take a quick look as to what voting bots are strict on upvoting spammy low-quality posts and what voting bots delivers their promised return to delegators.
