Rembrandt, Harmenszoon van Rijn (Born in Leiden, 1606, death Amsterdam, 1669).

Friends of Steemit, today I will start talking a little about painting and art, about a figure whose magnitude lies in the deep understanding in which he demonstrated, that is Rembrandt, I will dedicate this space to talk a little about his work and one of his paintings representative in a stage of his life marked by the end "Slaughtered Ox" found in the (Louvre Museum Paris, France).
Rembradt was a painter who demonstrated not only the human being and his nature, but a cluster of aspects and circumstances that surrounded him, in which he took advantage of his moods with his deep emotions as an artist and a human being.
He was the fifth son of a miller, of a socially stable, middle high class, who at thirteen years of age entered the University of Leiden, where he began theological and humanistic studies that soon found his vocation, "art" .
He was a disciple of great painters of the time, Jacob Swanenburgh, Jan Pynas, and Pieter Lasuman, where he settled and worked with him since 1624 for a few years. The influence of the teacher Lasuman, was for his whole life, going from being a disciple to a teacher. His style develops through successive stages of his life, each time polishing more, both in his painted works and in his prints.
From 1631, when he moved to Amsterdam, at his friend H. Uylenburgh's house, his life took on another nuance; He marries his daughter, Saskia, and painted his best known works. Throughout his stumbles in life, his widowhood, his union with Hendrikje Stofels, his ruined finale and social disrepute, Rembrandt's art is enriched with varieties of scenes, including landscapes and still life.
It is not certain that this work is of "still life", perhaps it is a genre painting, as it allows to suspect it in the female figure that is seen inside it.
