One afternoon I was in the garden of my house observing the weeds, it is the rainy season and it is growing very fast, I decided to clear it with my hands, suddenly, I felt an unbearable burning in my arm, it reddened and inflamed immediately, I thought I had been bitten by some insect.
The reaction is immediate
In the area I did not find any insects, there was a plant, its leaves were full of hair with an edge similar to the teeth of a saw, I began to investigate and discovered that it was a nettle.
Nettle (from the Latin 'urtica') is the common name of the plants of the genus Urtica, of the family of the urticaceae, all of them characterized by having stinging hairs that release an acidic substance that produces itching and inflammation in the skin. It is one of the most common "weeds", well known for its stinging qualities. In the past, it was also known as "the grass of the blind", because even the blind can recognize it just by touching it. It is one of the plants that has more medicinal applications.
The species I got at home is called "Nettle parvifluora”
It's amazing to think that a plant like this has so many benefits. Experts in natural medicine use everything from the roots to the leaves. It strengthens the immune system and purifies the body, and is also ideal for people with diabetes, gallstones and rheumatism.
Since ancient times, nettle has its benefits, it's amazing to discover the uses, a little severe, but I imagine that was what they had at that time. Among these are:

The Romans and Greeks who wanted to restore their lost vigor, whipped themselves (with the branches) under their navels, kidneys and buttocks.

If there was a seriously ill person and they wanted to know their fate, they placed the leaves of this plant in a glass of water and left them there for 24 hours. If they dried up, there was no hope, if they stayed green, they could get better.
What should you do if an Nettle itches?
The immediate reaction is to scratch, but the burning is so intense that you don't have time to do it, you have two options:

The mud, helps to remove the hairs from the plant, but be careful, you should not rub from top to bottom will be embedded much more, do it in one direction only to remove them. Saliva or water can also help.
- If you're home, here's what you can do:
Wash the area with soap and water, always rubbing in the same direction and apply ice to treat the swelling.
If you ever get a plant that has hair, be careful, it could be a nettle, if you accidentally touch it, remember my recommendations.

living in the counrty this happens alot i let the boys if they have this pee over their leg or use oil.
